Spring Trends With Banana Republic

Hey, hey!I'm thrilled to be partnering with one of my all time favorite brands for today's blog post!Banana Republic has been a staple in my wardrobe since I was in high school. I remember saving up babysitting money in order to buy this pretty spring top and as soon as it went on sale (you gotta love a Banana Republic sale!), I got it. I wore that top for YEARS. The quality of the clothing really does stand the test of time.Since we are full steam ahead into Spring wardrobe refresh, I thought it would be fun to talk about a few Spring trends, all of which you can find at Banana Republic. The first trend I want to talk about is the romper/jumpsuit. Yes, we've been loving this trend for a while now but what what makes these two options a little more chic is the fact that they're a linen blend. They really don't wrinkle as easily as most linen, but they still feel amazing. Both of these options are nursing friendly and how perfect is the white romper for a bridal shower?!       Another trend we're seeing a lot is STRIPES. In this case, I'm showcasing a maxi dress with a a thick stripe and a blazer with a thinner stripe. Both equally as preppy as they are classic. I would suggest sizing down in this blazer and be sure to check out the matching shorts. This maxi would be perfect for Easter, too.  Finally as an added bonus, I wanted to give y'all a sneak of this gorgeous eyelet shift dress. Eyelet is everywhere this spring and this dress could be worn for so many different occasions. If in between sizes, I would go down.Thank you to Banana Republic for sponsoring today's post! Thank YOU, my sweet friends for reading.[showshopthepostwidget id="3542547"]

Spring Porch Refresh

Hi, friends! Today I'm partnering with The Home Depot to share a little front porch refresh.I've been on the hunt for a bistro set for our porch for MONTHS. It seemed like everything I saw was close but not exactly what I wanted. When I saw this set from The Home Depot, I was immediately swooning over it. The cross back design, neutral grey color, and classic features made it perfect for our porch.I ordered the set online and it shipped super fast. They give the option of shipping to your local store but I had it shipped to my house. When it arrived, I assembled it myself in half an hour. Not too shabby! I absolutely love the way it looks. It's the perfect balance of sturdy and pretty. The price point was just right, too. I'm rounding up a few more of my favorites items from The Home Depot in case you're interested in a porch refresh, too! Thanks so much for reading today, friends! Thanks also to The Home Depot for sponsoring today's post.[showshopthepostwidget id="3518105"]

Big News!

We have been BUSY behind the scenes this past week because we are M O V I N G!For those of you that don't know, we have lived in this little white house for ten years and up to this point I just assumed I would be buried in the back yard. We LOVE our house. We have put more blood, sweat, and tears into this house than we ever imagined we would have. All three of our girls were literally born in this house and we have loved every minute of raising them here.So you may be wondering... why move then?Well, we've been going back and forth for years about when we'd move. Our goal was to find a place that we could afford, that we loved, that was closer to Matt's office, and to our church, and that also had a great school district for Reese. We found something last September (yes, three weeks after Lu was born!) that we thought met ALL our credentials. But the more we looked into the possibility of moving, the more we felt unsettled about it. We still had quite a bit of medical debt we needed to pay off from Matt's surgeries and we just didn't feel like it was the wisest thing to do right then.So we waited and honestly felt totally content the whole time. We really had no desire to move until something kind of clicked last week and we BOTH just knew it was time. The neighborhood we looked into originally was actually breaking ground on the second phase so we ended up getting a bigger and better lot than we would have if we had tried to force it earlier.God's timing has just been SO cool in the midst of all of this. We asked when it was time to move that He would really show us and BOY has He!Our sweet little house will go on the market this weekend. We signed the papers for our new house Monday and we will plan to move in when it's done in a few months! So excited to have y'all along for this ride with us!I will be sharing EVERYTHING with y'all as we start the build process so be prepared for lots and lots of home decor inspo. We are not building a custom home so our goal will be to add character to an otherwise cookie cutter house. It's gonna be a good time!If you know of anyone looking for a darling house packed to the brim with love and pretty design features, let me know! Here are a few of our favorite moments in our house over the years...           Home Sources:[showboutiquewidget id="814263"]

Denim Diaries

Hey, friends! So excited to finally get this round up on the blog! I feel like when you find a good pair of jeans, it's vitally important to share with the WORLD. So my apologies that I've waited until just now to share my full review of some of my favorite pairs.Let's start with the $30 and under because who doesn't love a good deal? These Universal Thread jeans are both amazing! I love the dark wash high waist. They run true to size and they keep their shape. If you're in between in jeans, I would size down because they will stretch just a bit with wear.[showshopthepostwidget id="3478339"]I have a white high waisted jean that I LOVE from old navy and I also have gotten a lot of wear out of these slightly distressed boyfriend jeans. Both run true to size.[showshopthepostwidget id="3478341"]Y'all know that I'm a big fan of a flare jean and these are by FAR the best I've ever worn. They are true to size and I honestly just can't believe the quality! I LOOOOVE them! They don't cut me off in the waist but they do hold everything in, which I fully appreciate.[showshopthepostwidget id="3478343"]Now I've got a special place in my heart for these two pairs... I've had both for YEARS and I still find myself reaching for them all the time. They are pretty affordable (Under $100) and still look great after lots and lots of wear. True to size for both! It's important to note that because the waist is so soft on these, I was able to wear them a lot when I was pregnant. I still wear them now, too![showshopthepostwidget id="3478346"]These are my favorite pair of skinny boyfriend jeans. I love the way they look with heels and flats. I've had them for a LONG time and they still look and fit great.[showshopthepostwidget id="3478354"]It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Wit and Wisdom jeans. I love the hidden elastic waistband on them because it just minimizes any spillage. Ain't nobody got time for spillage. I have the black pair, dark wash denim, and the white. Also, if you're looking for a great pair of boot cut, look no further! I seriously love them all. I would say go with your normal size but definitely size down if in between![showshopthepostwidget id="3478362"]Ok, friends that sums up my favorite denim of all time! Thanks so much for reading and please let me know if you have questions about sizing and such!
