We have been BUSY behind the scenes this past week because we are M O V I N G!For those of you that don't know, we have lived in this little white house for ten years and up to this point I just assumed I would be buried in the back yard. We LOVE our house. We have put more blood, sweat, and tears into this house than we ever imagined we would have. All three of our girls were literally born in this house and we have loved every minute of raising them here.So you may be wondering... why move then?Well, we've been going back and forth for years about when we'd move. Our goal was to find a place that we could afford, that we loved, that was closer to Matt's office, and to our church, and that also had a great school district for Reese. We found something last September (yes, three weeks after Lu was born!) that we thought met ALL our credentials. But the more we looked into the possibility of moving, the more we felt unsettled about it. We still had quite a bit of medical debt we needed to pay off from Matt's surgeries and we just didn't feel like it was the wisest thing to do right then.So we waited and honestly felt totally content the whole time. We really had no desire to move until something kind of clicked last week and we BOTH just knew it was time. The neighborhood we looked into originally was actually breaking ground on the second phase so we ended up getting a bigger and better lot than we would have if we had tried to force it earlier.God's timing has just been SO cool in the midst of all of this. We asked when it was time to move that He would really show us and BOY has He!Our sweet little house will go on the market this weekend. We signed the papers for our new house Monday and we will plan to move in when it's done in a few months! So excited to have y'all along for this ride with us!I will be sharing EVERYTHING with y'all as we start the build process so be prepared for lots and lots of home decor inspo. We are not building a custom home so our goal will be to add character to an otherwise cookie cutter house. It's gonna be a good time!If you know of anyone looking for a darling house packed to the brim with love and pretty design features, let me know! Here are a few of our favorite moments in our house over the years...

Denim Diaries
Hey, friends! So excited to finally get this round up on the blog! I feel like when you find a good pair of jeans, it's vitally important to share with the WORLD. So my apologies that I've waited until just now to share my full review of some of my favorite pairs.Let's start with the $30 and under because who doesn't love a good deal? These Universal Thread jeans are both amazing! I love the dark wash high waist. They run true to size and they keep their shape. If you're in between in jeans, I would size down because they will stretch just a bit with wear.[showshopthepostwidget id="3478339"]I have a white high waisted jean that I LOVE from old navy and I also have gotten a lot of wear out of these slightly distressed boyfriend jeans. Both run true to size.[showshopthepostwidget id="3478341"]Y'all know that I'm a big fan of a flare jean and these are by FAR the best I've ever worn. They are true to size and I honestly just can't believe the quality! I LOOOOVE them! They don't cut me off in the waist but they do hold everything in, which I fully appreciate.[showshopthepostwidget id="3478343"]Now I've got a special place in my heart for these two pairs... I've had both for YEARS and I still find myself reaching for them all the time. They are pretty affordable (Under $100) and still look great after lots and lots of wear. True to size for both! It's important to note that because the waist is so soft on these, I was able to wear them a lot when I was pregnant. I still wear them now, too![showshopthepostwidget id="3478346"]These are my favorite pair of skinny boyfriend jeans. I love the way they look with heels and flats. I've had them for a LONG time and they still look and fit great.[showshopthepostwidget id="3478354"]It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Wit and Wisdom jeans. I love the hidden elastic waistband on them because it just minimizes any spillage. Ain't nobody got time for spillage. I have the black pair, dark wash denim, and the white. Also, if you're looking for a great pair of boot cut, look no further! I seriously love them all. I would say go with your normal size but definitely size down if in between![showshopthepostwidget id="3478362"]Ok, friends that sums up my favorite denim of all time! Thanks so much for reading and please let me know if you have questions about sizing and such!
Dining Room Update
If you've seen my stories recently then you know that I've been scheming and dreaming up some ideas for my dining room. Based on the response I got from YOU, it seems like you'd love to come along for the ride and maybe get some inspo for yourself. So I'm using today's post to give you a little look see into what I've got in mind!As far as a table is concerned, we have a pretty small space we're working with. But I also know we won't be in this house forever so I want something that'll grow with us. This table I found from Pier 1 is PERFECTION. The reviews are amazing and it's just exactly what I've been looking for. I went ahead and decided to order the matching bench to go with it. My sister convinced me that the best way to fit lots of little booties is with a bench. So here we are. It was about the same price (a little less!) than getting two chairs so I felt like it was a good idea.[showshopthepostwidget id="3495954"][showshopthepostwidget id="3495955"] I decided to kind of meet in the middle between full on fabric chairs and just wooden ones. I love the look of a fabric chair but KIDS. I went with these side chairs from wayfair to go opposite of my bench. But I'm still going with the fabric head chairs. Y'all pray for me, OK?!I figure when we aren't using them, I'll let them sit on each side of the cabinet so they're a little more out of the way. Can't you just imagine how sweet they'll be with a little black and white buffalo check lumbar pillow!?[showshopthepostwidget id="3495957"][showshopthepostwidget id="3495958"] I love my current chandelier but it just feels too big and I need something a little less obtrusive so I went with this one from Wayfair. I like the simple lines but it still seems like it'll give off a good amount of light. [showshopthepostwidget id="3495960"]I'm probably MOST excited about this china cabinet! We needed something for storing dishes and other goodies so this sucker is going to save my life. I am ALL about dark colors right now so I think she'll be a stunner in front of that shiplap wall.[showshopthepostwidget id="3495961"]Planning to have a wooden sign like this one to hang on either side of the cabinet, too.[showshopthepostwidget id="3495971"]I also found the coolest shelf to add even more storage![showshopthepostwidget id="3495962"] I'm planning to use my current rug and I'm going to just do white curtain panels, if any at all.I can't wait to see it all come together! I've listed all my honorable mentions below if you want some more ideas. I feel like I've looked at every rectangular wooden table on the internet at this point. [showshopthepostwidget id="3495973"]
Family Game Night
This is a paid sponsorship with HSN but all thoughts and opinions shared are my own.One of our favorite family traditions is what we call Friday Family Fun Night. We started this tradition right after Reese was born during a time when we had no idea how to make weekends fun since now they looked so different. If there's one thing I've learned since becoming a momma, it's that if you want something to become a priority, it's best to also make it consistent. We knew just saying we wanted to have family night once a week wasn't going to be enough. We had to pick a night, make a plan, and make it happen.Because this has become such a fun time for our family, I wanted to use today's blog post to talk about a few different ideas for how to have your own family fun night!I'm partnering with HSN to show y'all some super fun games and activities that will take your family night to the next level. I've always known HSN to be a place to find great deals on stuff for my home but I had no idea until I did a little digging that they had such a fun variety of other items like toys, kitchen appliances, and games! So let's jump in to family night ideas:
- Dance party! We have been known to have some pretty epic dance parties in our house, but how much more fun would it be if you used a record player? This one is so cute and small enough to not take up too much room on a table top.
- Games! HSN has a super fun selection of games that your kiddos will love to play and you'll actually want to play with them. We recently introduced our girls to jenga and they LOVE it!
- Family Picnic! We love to fill up a picnic basket with our favorite foods, spread out a picnic blanket inside OR outside, and have a picnic. Makes dinner SO much more fun when it's all packed up in a basket.
- Dessert! If your kids are anything like mine, they LOVE them some dessert. How fun would it be to make cotton candy or to have a chocolate fountain as a special treat after dinner?!
- Movie Night! Instead of just popping pop corn for your movie in the microwave or stove top, add one of these fun pop corn makers to your family night. Let your kiddos be a part of helping getting it all made. As a bonus, this pop corn maker is darling so it would be the perfect addition to a media room.
Summer Sweater Styled Two Ways
Hi! For today's post, I've partnered with Nordstrom to show y'all a few ways to style this sweet striped sweater. It's obvious that the colorful design makes this sweater a show stopper, but the chevron design also makes it super flattering. The way it angles down slightly in the front will do your figure ALL the favors.
I paired it over my leith body con dress to dress it up a bit. I have raved about this dress for years because it really is perfect for layering under sweaters, jackets, and kimonos. It looks great by itself too. The ruching helps to flatter the mid section and let me just say that if you're expecting, this dress is a MUST. I sized up to a medium and I love the fit pregnant and not!
Another way to wear this sweater is with my trusty wit and wisdom jeans. These are a higher waist and I would suggest going with your normal size. The website says to size down but I would only do that if you're in between sizes. I love this dark wash but this style also comes in a ton of other colors. In case you forgot, these are the jeans with the elastic built into the waistband so they are super comfortable.
These slip on sneakers from Nordstrom have been such a good find! I've bought and returned multiple pair before discovering these. I love this neutral blue color and can wear them with so many outfits. They are Dr. Scholls brand so the support and comfort level is top notch!Nordstrom is having their Winter Sale right now so in addition to what I'm sharing today, I've also rounded up some favorites from the sale.Thank you so much for reading, friends! Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring today's post. I'm so honored to work with such an amazing brand![showshopthepostwidget id="3488622"]
